Listening, Observing, and Detailing
It is important to listen, observe and pay attention to details in what other people say, do and gesture. Not only you are able to learn from what they do, you could also spot out the lies and shenanigans through listening, observing and paying attention to details.
Listening carefully to what people say is essential. You never know when someone would dig a hole for you to jump in. As bad as it might sound, it is the truth that to some people, in order to get to their goal, your business and yourself might be the hurdle between their current position and their end goal. Therefore, listening to what people say gets important. Furthermore, when you listen to what people say, you are able to probe for more information. Without having some amount of knowledge through listening, you are unable to further probe on the conversation and get the insight that people don’t get. Lastly, listening is important but filtering out nonsensical conversation and information is equally important.
However, a lot of times, people talk a lot. Yet, their actions are the key to what they actually want. Talk is cheap, action is the key. Observation, it helps to see through the people you are talking with. You will see what they are doing, and through that you are able to truly know what the counter party wants. And when you understand what the counter party really wants. You are able to understand his motivation in the way he act. What does he or she actually want from you or why did they act in such a manner that they are portraying. Observing others people action, especially those who you identify as “role model” or an individual who you deem that you can learn from. When you observe their behaviour , you are able to identify what makes them the person they are. You are learning while observing, understanding where they come from. Learn from the best.
Detailing, the truth usually lies in the details. While a general picture will depict the process which is important. The details makes the difference in putting out a product that is different in the market.
All in all, listen to what other people are talking , determining are they lying or what are their motive through observation and pay attention to those details as they are the element that makes the differences.
